This is the partly frozen Charles River in Boston. The darker area on the left is mostly water, not ice, but I've upped the contrast so much that the boundary isn't visible anymore. The funky angle is so that I could get the entire curve of the snow/ice trail in the shot . Is the angle distracting, or does it make the shot more interesting? If it is distracting, I do have another version I'll post tomorrow.
I ALWAYS love a different perspective dYe! Makes you think! I love the image - very well done!

@anden: Umm...I know nothing about lenses and such. I inherited my digital camera from my parents this summer when they were getting a newer, better one, and the lens is just the one that came with the camera. The model is an Olympus Stylus 300. It came out several years ago. I'm not sure they even make them anymore! Is 6mm a good or bad thing?
The perspective is great - I like it for this shot - maybe not for some. The angle of the ice takes you right into the picture from bottom right up to the left. A straight line up wouldn't be as effective! At first glance I didn't realize it was ice - thought it was waves from an ocean and a beach - looks so frothy!
