My brother once got a fortune cookie that said, "You can see the beauty in ordinary things." Being five years old at the time, I think he appreciated his cookie much more than this cryptic praise. I however, was miffed that the compliment had not come to me, and I've been trying to make up for it ever since.

What with college, I don't have as much time for art and photography as I would like. However, I try and squeeze it in as much as possible. I love photography because it forces me to really look at the world, not just see it. It's so damn beautiful that I don't want to miss any of it. I have no technical knowledge, no fancy equipment, and very little experience, but I try to do my best with just my eyes, my hands, and my junky (but much loved) little digital camera.
